Junior C Lakers sweep series

Brandon Johnson scored three goals and two assists as the Peterborough Mincom Kawartha Lakes junior C Lakers downed the Whitby Warriors 14-11 in Game 3 of their OLA quarter-final playoff series on Monday night at the Lakefield-Smith Community Centre.

With the win, the Lakers complete the three-game sweep.

Also scoring were Andrea-Manea Currier (2,7), Carter McCracken (3,1), Eric Williams (1,2), Taylor Brown (1,1), Cam Healey (1), Mike Drumm (2, 4), Blake Evans (1,1). Jordan Walsh added three assists and Steve Nicholls had one.

Peterborough will face the winner of the Clarington-Kingston series with Clarington leading the best-of-five series 2-0.
