Council of Canadians all-candidates debate
Four of the five federal Peterborough riding candidates running in the Oct. 14 election battled Monday night in their third debate of the day. The questions from the public ran the full spectrum of daily and personal concerns from poverty, to carbon taxes, the minimum wage, support for those with disabilities and the Little Lake resort plan. Members of the public had nearly an hour and a half to fire questions at Conservative MP Dean Del Mastro, Green party candidate Emily Berrigan, NDP hopeful Steve Sharpe and Liberal candidate Betsy McGregor at the Murray Street Baptist Church.
